Surfing in Morocco: Catching Waves Near Taghazout [VIDEO]

By on

Near Agadir, on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, surfers congregate around the many “stellar” surf spots (just wanted to use that word in a post if only once).  Beginners and pros alike ride these waves; we were amateurs but our instructors were great.

We found the town of Taghazout a bit too busy but just outside the town towards Agadir there are some quiet villages and surf lodges.

Here’s a video just for a bit of atmosphere: the ocean, the waves, the surfers and the Moroccan villages overlooking the coast.
